Roughly 14 years ago this orange striped tabby bounced in to our lives. Tigger was a unique personality, to be sure. Sitting quietly somewhere in the house, he would prance into the room we were in, look around, and “Meeeeehhhhhhhhh!” let you know he was there.
Such a gentle soul, enduring all the 5-year-old maulings from Illyana, but never scratching or biting. As they grew together the maulings turned in to snuggles, and as overnight trips entered the equations, the occasional snub upon her return.
Sadly, his illness over the past year and a half took its toll, and the decision had to be made.
Thank you again to Dr. Brian Watson and the staff of Fairmont Animal Hospital for their care and compassion as we said goodbye to the last of our old guard.
