So, the clouds decided to move in last night and the moon (which was no longer a “blue” moon) was just a fuzzy white light in the sky. I did try a few shots, but my hands just aren’t steady enough.
However, while sitting on the front steps, trying to brace myself on my knees and the railing, I noticed our neighbour’s little garden light.
It’s one of those things that I have seen many times in the daylight, possibly glancing at it in the night, but I have never really *looked* at it, and not from this particular angle. The red petals of the flower were catching the light just so, and it looked quite interesting.
This shot was cropped to highlight just the light and the plant. There was a skunk wandering the area, so I didn’t want to stray too far from the porch, otherwise I was have gotten closer to the planter to take some pictures. Perhaps tonight conditions will be more favourable. Still, I like the initial concept.
