It was a bit of a slow week, photo-wise. I was participating in a 4-day workshop that left me utterly drained at the end of each day. And on the fifth day, I had homework.
On the flip side, the workshop was a great self-discovery tool, and I wrote a 3-page “Ideal Work Day” piece lickety-split, which was a real pleasure. Lately, writing any sort of creative piece has been like pulling teeth, and doing any sort of “dream thinking” has been near impossible. My ideal work day just flowed from my brain to my fingers and into the computer. It was an absolute pleasure to write.
What’s this got to do with my photo for this week? Well, it almost appears like this tree is reaching for the moon. As someone seeking meaningful employment right now, that’s effectively what I am doing: Reaching for the moon.
Recently, I’ve been pecking at the ground. It’s time to look up, set my sights higher, dig in my heels and really work towards something more.

As the saying goes, “Shoot for the moon, if you don’t reach it…you’re still with the stars”. I’m so very proud of you.
